Sandblasting

That’s right, we sandblast! Whether you’re looking to have sandblasting done on a project you plan to finish or we’re finishing it for you, we are here for your sandblasting needs!

What is sandblasting & Why is it important?

Also known as Abrasive blasting, it is one of the most effective ways to remove old finishes (powder coating, paint, or other finishes) and surface rust. It is also effective in smoothing a rough surface or roughening a smooth surface depending on the desired outcome. For the customer planning to finish their own project, it simply makes life easier. If we are finishing your project for you sandblasting is especially important in powder coating, as it helps roughen a smooth surface so the paint can adhere.

What size can you do?

Our current booth is 3ftx3ftx8ft. Sometimes we are able to fit slightly bigger objects. We also plan on expanding in the future to a bigger booth.

How much does it cost?

We charge $80/hour to sandblast. That price is based on items being fully disassembled or additional charges are applied. It is hard to give an accurate quote on how long it will take. Providing us with the following will help us work up a rough quote.

  • Picture of item

  • Size

  • Cleanliness (oil/grease)

  • Layers of existing finish

Powder Coating

The reason we started a business! We are committed to giving you a quality finish that will last and doing it in a timely manner. It can be a new or a restored item and we will work with you to ensure you love your finished product!

What is powder coating?

Powder coating is a decorative and durable long lasting plastic film finish. It is applied by spraying a powder, made up of a mixture of pigment and resin, to the desired surface. The powder is electrostatically charged and adheres to the electrically grounded surface. Once evenly coated it is then cured in an oven to fuse the highly engineered film coating.
